How Grand Piano Storage Works
Grand pianos are carefully prepared and stored on their side using professional piano boards and protective padding. Legs and benches are removed, wrapped, and stored securely alongside the instrument.
At the time of pickup, we inventory your piano and record its estimated or appraised value. Full insurance coverage is included while your piano is in our care.
Short-Term and Long-Term Storage Options
We offer both short-term and long-term grand piano storage depending on your needs.
Short-term storage is available for situations such as home remodeling, staging, or when move-in and move-out dates do not align. Long-term storage provides a stable, secure solution for extended periods.
If storage exceeds short-term timeframes, the account transitions to standard monthly storage.
Grand Piano Storage Rates
Monthly Storage Rates:
- Grand Pianos up to 7’11” – $90 per month
- Grand Pianos 8’ to 9’6” – $105 per month
Moving Costs Into or Out of Storage
- Up to 6’ – $395 + $90 storage
- 6’ to 7’ – $325 + $90 storage
- 7’ to 8’ – $450 + $90 storage
- 8’ and above – $495 + $105 storage
Additional charges may apply for stairs, long carries, or extended mileage.
Short-Term Warehouse Storage (Up to 14 Days)
For short-term needs, we offer warehouse storage for up to 14 days.
This option is ideal for remodeling projects or scheduling gaps between moves.
Pricing includes the base moving charge plus a short-term warehouse fee. If storage exceeds 14 days, it automatically converts to the standard monthly storage rate.
Long-Term Storage Incentive
Receive one month of free storage when you prepay for a full year.
Billing Information
Storage is billed monthly based on the date your piano enters storage. Billing covers any portion of a month and is not prorated.
